Kauai is one of my all-time favorite places in the world. If you want to elope in Hawaii, then Kauai is my top recommendation! It also happens to be the number one island in my heart. When you think of Kauai…think canyons and jungles and ocean cliffs and waterfalls and greenery. Think red and blue and green and yellow. Red dirt, white sand, black rocks, rolling hills, rugged crags, and there’s really nothing in the world quite like the Na Pali coast.

You can go on enchanting hikes through the jungle, swim in the flowing waters of a waterfall, jump on a helicopter ride, experience a boating excursion, eat some famous spam musubi and poke, have a drink on a heavenly beach shore, and the list just goes on.

Where to Elope in Kauai

When I’m creating custom timelines and adventure elopement itineraries for my couples, I always tell you to embrace a roadtrip mentality. Kauai has a wonderful small-town feel and you can get around the entire island in about 2 hours. I’ll recommend we start on the North Shore, have your ceremony at one of my secret waterfall locations surrounded by greenery in your own private spot as you say your vows to each other. Then we’ll head over to a cool cave and hit some of the best beaches. After that we can make our way towards the south shore and see some lovely coastline cliffs, have a picnic, get some famous shave ice, and then head to the magical Waimea Canyon for sunset.
